Cathedral School students celebrated the annual all school speech festival today. Individual students presented speeches in the Religious, Serious and Humorous categories. We ended the day with chorale presentations from each class. What a terrific way to showcase our students’ amazing public speaking skills.
We are very excited to offer an easy way for our community to recycle cans and bottles through Oregon BottleDrop, and earn money for Cathedral School at the same time! There are two ways to participate:
You can ask your child to pick up a blue bag in the school office. Fill it with your cans and bottles and then drop it by any BottleDrop Center or BottleDrop Express and returns will be directly credited to Cathedral School’s account. The bar code on the bag will unlock the door at the recycling locations. It is that easy- no need to sort or separate.
If you are already part of the BottleDrop program you can transfer balances to Cathedral School’s account.
The Global Day of Design is a 24 hour design event that inspires children to create, make, and build. To introduce the Design Thinking process, Cathedral School students spent the morning working in family groups to create one hole for a mini-golf course. Teachers led students though the Design Thinking process to create their golf hole. It was truly inspiring to see students from all grade levels working together to achieve a common goal.
