Sixth grade math students worked collaboratively to create cookie shops and sell their cookies to their classmates. The students used proportions and ratios to calculate the required amount of ingredients for a batch of cookies, earned “Muth Money,” and created marketing materials for their shops. Shop day allowed students the opportunity to spend their hard-earned “Muth Money” to sample their classmates’ cookies. They practiced their math skills and enjoyed some yummy treats!
